If the system is working normally then thumbs.db will only appear if you have both set Show hidden filesand cleared the Hide protected operating system files [a few lines down from the Hidden files entry].
I understand that you want to have Hidden files showing but please could you confirm that you have Hide protected operating system files still set?
Hide protected Operating System Files is ‘Cleared” (unchecked).
Tied to paste a copy in this thread…..appears that option is not available.
Show Hidden Files, Folders and drives is bulleted and Hide protected operating system files is Unchecked.
The thumbs.db files is a thumbnail cache used by Windows Explorer to speed up follder displays.Usually it is hidden.
You can delete it but it will appear again if you have chosen to view all files in a folder including the hidden files.
