Windows Defender Wont Turn On

Window Defender Description:

Windows Defender is your first line of defense against spyware and other unwanted software. And in Windows 7, it’s easier to use, with simpler notifications, more scanning options, and less impact on your computer’s performance.

A new feature called “Clean System” provides one-click purging of all suspicious software, and Windows Defender is now part of Action Center, the streamlined place for keeping your PC running smoothly.

Solution for Window Defender:

you just noticed the Action Center alert in your notification area today and it says that your spyware/antivirus programs are turned off. you go to windows defender and it says that it is turned off so you open windows defender and press the “Turn on” button, defender then grays out for about a minute and gives me the error code 0x800705b4 Real-time protection couldn’t be turned on. This operation returned because the timeout period expired.

you accidentally accepted the premium trial version of MalwareBytes when you downloaded it.  you have since uninstalled it and used their full uninstallation software .

you have not used any other antivirus programs other than was only planning on using Malwarebytes for their system scan.

One  thing about this is that on the Home tab of Defender it says Real-time protection:Off yet Virus and spyware definitions:Up to date and then you go ti the settings tab and it says that real-time protection is checked, Screenshots attached.
